My name is Reetu. I'm a manager and HR business partner, and I've been with ADP for a little over five years. Day in the life -- my Monday mornings always start with a VP call.
So I'm meeting with all of the VPs, hearing what's top of mind for them from a business perspective and a people perspective. So talking about headcount, talking about performance, talking about succession planning. And then from there, I'm meeting with associates talking about, hey, a leader's pointing out to me that they're not really sure of how this associate's doing, so what can we do to help them, whether that be performance related or engagement related.
And then in the afternoon, I'm meeting with my team talking about what's going on around the region to see how we can better our regions, whether that be from a diversity standpoint or succession standpoint. So, it has pretty good variety. As I said, we're also sometimes helping the onboarding process and talking about ethics and policies. And on the flip side, we're talking about monthly allowance and, hey, what's the mileage policy that we have? Because it's very new and different for associates.

Innovating Human Resources at ADP

Text: We asked Sreeni Kutam, our President of Global Product and Innovation, what innovation looks like within Human Resources at ADP.
[SPEECH]
SREENI KUTAM: Our middle name is data.
[DESCRIPTION]
As he speaks, scenes of people as they work at the company.

SREENI KUTAM: I want to build innovation schemes based on the scale of data that we have, and bring the insights and the movements that actually matter in a person's life so that we can give better human experience. And let me give you an example.
We all know organizations try to hire people both externally and internally. Many people apply for those jobs. And some of them won't get the job they applied, and obviously, you know, that's a tough period of time.
In the past, HR folks tried to nudge the managers to provide feedback to the person who didn't get the job so that they're very clear on what they need to work on so they will be successful in the next attempt. But that's generally a hit or miss in our experience. So how can we use the data and technology so that we can help in that particular moment where it actually matters?
So we know in our systems who applied. We know who didn't get the job. So now, what we do is we actually send a nudge to the manager-- either the hiring manager or the current manager-- to go and have a conversation, have an arm around the shoulder, and say, how can I help you? Let me get you some information that would be helpful to you.
That moment matters in that person's life. And that's why it's innovation. It's not a big technology, et cetera, but being thoughtful about, how can I make that human experience count.
