Text: Sara, Chief Financial Officer of Compliance Solutions Division, ADP
Hi, I'm Sara. I'm the chief financial officer of ADP's Compliant Solutions division. I've been in finance for ADP for 14 years. And during that time, I've worked for several different divisions and have had several different jobs in my career.
Text: How do you manage your professional career and your personal life?
At ADP, I truly believe that we have a flexible work environment. And that means that I have the flexibility to do what I need to do. And so for example, this week I had a family event over the weekend, and I needed to stay on Monday to take care of some things with my family. And so I took a flight back on Tuesday morning early. I got into work mid-morning. I have the flexibility to do that if I need to.
I took calls Monday. I took some meetings Monday. I was doing some emails on the plane on the way back. But I don't feel like I'm pressured to be in a certain place at a certain time. I have the flexibility to manage my own schedule. Obviously, there are certain times when I need to be in the office, either in New Jersey. I may need to be in an office in California or in another city.
And I work around that too, but I've always felt like my schedule was within my control to a large extent to where I could manage priorities outside of work, as well as at work while getting everything done at the same time.

There is no such thing as just another day at the office. Far from it. We believe in passion, meaning and friendships. Making an impact, shaping the future together, and putting the “people” into “Always Designing for People.”
We know that it’s our people who make the difference, for our company and for companies around the globe. Sharing ideas and perspectives helps us and our clients to be better, and we like to think that makes the world a better place.
We strive to do the right thing for the local and global communities where we live and work. One way we do this is by paying you to pay it forward with volunteer time off and matching your contributions to the causes you support.
“This is the kind of environment that embraces new associates and that really is looking for external perspective, looking for a diversity of opinions, and you can come to this organization and really make an impact. Because of the journey that ADP is on there is an ability to really impact the future of the organization. And there are not a lot of companies out there that you can actually come in and feel, right from day one, that you are able to and the organization is open to you making that impact.”
Vice President of Compensation
“There is no set personality you need to grow your career here. All you have to do is be yourself and work hard, and the opportunities are going to be endless for you.”
“I love ADP. I am a huge advocate of this company because it allows me to be my whole self and I feel as though I am extremely important here. I feel like I am part of something that is bigger than my individual self.”
Watch our associates talk about what it’s like to work at ADP.
SPEAKER 2: Their training program, their commitment to training.
SPEAKER 3: Growth, the opportunity.
SPEAKER 4: The atmosphere and the culture really caught my attention.
SPEAKER 1: Better quality of life.
SPEAKER 2: I also looked at their involvement in the community, as well as their ratings. And that's what really made me decide that this was a company I wanted to work for.
Text: How do you help your team succeed @ ADP?
SPEAKER 1: Accentuate the positive environment. Overemphasize and encourage each other.
SPEAKER 2: One of the things is really making sure you listen to them. What are their concerns? What's going to help them be successful? Removing those roadblocks that are out there and making sure that they can be successful in their position.
Text: How does ADP provide opportunities to give back to the community?
SPEAKER 3: It's great to work for a company that actually cares about the community. We've done quite a few events, charity events. We've done a Habitat for Humanity.
SPEAKER 2: The feeling that I get when I go out and actually do some volunteer work for this company, I mean, it just touches me. The fact that you're give them a people who don't have—that just—I mean, that's what it's all about, paying it forward.

Text: ADP's Business Resource Groups (BRG) connect associates with a network of people beyond their team that share common interests and experiences.
Text: Tawana, VP, Implementation, Member of Cultivate BRG
I joined the BRG to expand my knowledge of ADP and expand my associate network, really. I wanted to meet people outside of my organization. I wanted to learn more about ADP through the people that I meet through different orgs. So the BRG gave me access to events and speakers and situations that I would never have normally had in my normal day to day job.
Text: Mike, Director, Program Management, Member of Military Strong & Allies BRG
…networking opportunity but also the sense of team. I miss that sense of team being when I was in the military but I also wanted to also broaden my network at work here and meet other people that I've never had an opportunity to meet before. And it was a great way, an avenue, to do that.
Text: Eslin, Director, Product Management, Member of iWIN BRG
And the BRGs are so open and inclusionary with an easy way of how do I get to know people, kind of a social thing as well as a professional thing, and getting to know people on the campus and then wider. So just why not, you know? It's an opportunity that they give you to join something that you can network and grow in quickly.
Text: Dominic, Sr. Director, Product Management, Member of ADP Pride BRG
To be able to contribute back, to be able to give something back to what organization has been very good to me. And allows me to be exposed in my leadership skills and my career aspirations and my capabilities with a group of folks that I probably wouldn't have otherwise in my day job.
Text: Kim, Director, Product Management, Member of Inspire BRG
I joined the BRG because I've been with ADP for 8 and 1/2 years. It's been a fantastic place. And I was looking for ways to give back and help influence the ADP culture overall.
Text: Joe, User Experience Strategist, Member of Generations BRG
I have been here a while and I thought it was an opportunity to share. I think a lot of times we get a chance maybe in small groups but I thought it would be great to kind of broaden that and to see what a lot of other folks are doing too.
Text: Talisa, Project Manager, Member of Adelante BRG
I joined the BRG not only to network with all my peers but also to gain the knowledge of how to better myself to give back to the business for greater results. And also better my brand in making sure that I cover all the aspects of what I want to grow into and making sure that the career path I chose is right for me.
Text: Matthew, Business Engineer, Member of A.S.I.A. BRG
And I wanted it to continue that kind of relationship and community development here at ADP when I heard that they were looking for new members to be part of this new BRG that they were forming.
